The Vikings handled the Tennessee Titans fairly easily, even though the score didn't exactly show it. The Vikings won by a final score of 23-13 in what could have been a 30-6 victory, but that's the NFL for you! The reason I say this is because of 2 plays that the Vikings screwed up on. First, the 98-yard touchdown pass by Levis was connected on an all out blitz by the Vikings going for the safety and not respecting Levis. Second, Darnold should have had a beautiful 50-yard touchdown pass to Nailor, but Nailor let is go through his arms and off his chest. With all of that being said, who cares? The Vikings are continuing to win and remain one of the best teams in the NFL. Darnold had a nice bounce back game, still throwing for 246 yards, 2 passing TDs, and 1 rushing TD. The running game couldn't really get going, but the Titans are still an NFL team and have one of the best defenses in the league. Whether the running game is working or not, we need to keep committing to it. The good play by Darnold and Jefferson countered the rough outing by Jones and Akers on the ground. I, for one, am happy that the Vikings are now 8-2 and 1 of the 5 best teams in the NFL!
To all of the negative Vikings fans out there claiming we aren't very good because the Lions are beating crappy teams better then we are: The Vikings beat the Texans 34-7, while the Lions beat the Texans only 26-23. So the Lions suck and their season is fake. That's what you negative fans sound like. The Vikings are finding ways to win games while not playing to the best of their ability. The Vikings were hot and clicking to start the year and we will get back on track, as a full team, come playoff time. The Lions are screwed as they are hot at the wrong time and it will all come crashing down in the playoffs for them. So, stop being dumb, you negative Vikings fans. Enjoy the special season we are witnessing. This is the best year the Vikings have had since 2017!
Soldier Field is always a difficult place to play and even tougher being a division rival. This Sunday is going to take a very well played game by the Vikings, in order to win. Rookie QB Caleb Williams is having a solid year and has plenty of weapons at his disposal. The Bears sit at 4-6 and come in with a 4-game losing streak, while the Vikings sit at 8-2 with a 3-game winning streak. Both teams have solid defenses, but the Vikings have the much better offense. Justin Jefferson is now the all time leader in receiving yards in his first 5 seasons...and there are still 7 games left this season. Jefferson is on track to be an all-time WR legend. While only scoring 19 points against the Packers last week, the Bears offense did play with a little better flow after firing their offensive coordinator. With the way the Vikings blitz and get to the QB, I would expect the Bears offense to continue to run a quick passing game. They aren't going to be able to run the ball against Minnesota's top ranked run defense, though. If the Vikings can play a balanced game on both sides of the ball, this game has the chance to get out of hand. The Vikings hold the advantage on offense, defense, and coaching staff. Unfortunately, that is not typically how division games go. I would expect another low scoring game with the Vikings prevailing, 23-17.
Finally, who cares how we win...it's all about JUST WIN BABY! BEAT THE BEARS! SKOL!
