Gophers lose again, 26-14 to Illinois. Next game @ #16 Penn State.

Starting the season 4-0 with the Big Ten West there for the taking, the Gophers have proceeded to lose 2 in a row to Purdue and Illinois to drop to 4-2. The offense just couldn't get anything going for the second straight week and it has likely cost them their Big Ten West title hopes. There is still a lot of season left to go. They need to go back to playing loose, being confident, and REMEMBERING TO HAVE FUN! I know this team came into the season with very high expectations, but sitting at 4-2 at this point isn't the end of the world, it's just a game! Plus, we still have 4 trophy games ahead of us that we can win (Penn State, Nebraska, Iowa, and Wiscansin).

#16 Penn State will be hosting Minnesota for their yearly White-Out night game. This game is always tough for the opponents. A big question for the Gophers is if QB Tanner Morgan will be able to play after Illinois "legally" punched him in the head and had to be carted off the field. Minnesota's Defense and Mo Ibrahim are going to have to play perfect games, regardless of who ends up starting at QB for the Gophers. Penn State's QB Sean Clifford is also listed as questionable after being knocked out of their last game against Michigan. I don't think the Gophers will win this game, unfortunately. I sadly predict a 31-20 victory for Penn State, forcing the Gophers to have to give back the Governor's Victory Bell Trophy. This will also lead to the Gopher's first 3-game losing streak since 2018. Come kickoff, I am still going to believe that we can win, BECAUSE WE CAN WIN. Let's go, Gophers. Figure some things out and let's play spoiler this weekend at Penn State!
