Does everyone see colors the same way as the next person? Find out what my favorite colors are! #Colors

Before I list out my favorite colors, let's talk about how fascinating the idea of color is with regards to an individual's perception of color. I have thought about this topic since a was a wee lad in knee highs, and it still tickles my brain to this day.

Sometimes I catch myself thinking about how everyone probably sees colors different than the next person. For example, the way I see the color green, another person might see as orange. But everyone still acknowledges the color as green. Completely trippy. Color perception is the capacity of your eyes to receive information from the light. But the colors we see might not be consistent with what other people see. The red that you see in a strawberry might look like blue to someone else, but that person still calls it red, obviously.

So, I ask, do my eyes see red the same as other people's eyes see red? No, it's highly likely that you do not see "red" exactly the same as other people, as color perception can vary slightly/massively between individuals due to differences in the structure of their eyes, their eye color, and how their brains interpret light, meaning your "red" might be slightly/massively different from someone else's "red" even if you both agree it's the same color by name. Here are the key points to remember:

  • Individual variations: Everyone has a slightly unique perception of color based on their eye structure and brain processing.

  • Color blindness: Some people have color blindness which significantly alters their color perception, altogether.

  • Brain interpretation: While we all see the same wavelengths of light, our brains interpret them slightly differently, leading to variation in color perception.

I mention everything above in order to explain that if you don't agree with what my favorite colors are, it might be because you are seeing colors differently than me... hence, you are wrong and you might have just found out about your lifelong brain interpretation issues. The following is a list of the best colors. Lets get into it!

Birdman's Favorite Colors (in no particular order):

  • Blue - one of the rarest colors to ever exist in nature.

  • Smaragdine - a less elegant way to say emerald green.

  • Amaranth - like the plant.

  • Gamboge - it might sound similar to "garbage," but it's named after the tree, obviously.

  • B00B69 - I might cover my walls with this color. I love this color.

  • Purple - color of royalty.

  • Vantablack - closest color to black, without being solid black.

  • Drunk Tank Pink - provides a calming influence.

  • Fulvous - color of butterscotch, which is the most liked flavor in the northern hemisphere.

  • Green - most common color in the world.

  • Pigeon Blood Ruby - a deep, rare red color only found around the eye of a pigeon.

  • Heliotrope - bright reddish blue violet color, not found on the color spectrum.

  • Falu - a deep red or crimson, named after the old, old Swedish city of Falun.

  • Lusty Gallant - the origins of this color are slightly unclear, but it's believed to have derived from a popular dance in Tudor England during the mid to late 1500's.

Thanks for stopping by. Let me know what your favorite colors are! What color do strawberries look like to you, red or skobeloff?
