Bonus Vikings Post! Reviewing the Vikings & Falcons at the Week 5 mark in the 2023 & 2024 NFL Seasons. #SKOL

Congrats to all my readers, you guys get a bonus Vikings post after Week 5! Here, we will review how the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons have fared in the first 5 weeks of the 2024 season, as well as where they each were after Week 5 in 2023. Hope you enjoy!

Atlanta Falcons after Week 5 in 2023:

• Desmond Ridder was their QB, who is considered a much worse QB than Cousins.

• The Falcons were a much younger team, a much worse roster than 2024, and had a Head Coach that would eventually be fired.

• At the Week 5 mark in 2023, the Atlanta Falcons held a record of 3-2 with a -13 point differential and only participated in 2 1-score games to that point.

Atlanta Falcons after Week 5 in 2024:

• Curtis Cousins is now their QB, who is considered a much better QB than Ridder.

• The Falcons have a much better roster after signing many key free agents on defense and offense and have a first year Head Coach.

• At the Week 5 mark in 2024, the Atlanta Falcons hold a record of 3-2 with a -4 point differential and all 5 of their games have been decided by 1-score.

Hmmm, this is weird, surely the Falcons should be much better with all of the free agent additions they made in the offseason! I wonder what the problem has been...????

Minnesota Vikings after Week 5 in 2023:

• Curtis Cousins was our QB, who is considered a much better QB than Sam Darnold.

• The Vikings had a very solid offensive line, solid offensive playmakers, and a pretty solid defense headed by DC Brian Flores.

• At the Week 5 mark in 2023, the Minnesota Vikings held a record of 1-4 with a -12 point differential and all 5 games were decided by 1-score to that point. Hmmm, interesting...

Minnesota Vikings after Week 5 in 2024:

• Sam Darnold is now our QB, who is considered a much worse QB than Cousins.

• The Vikings have essentially the same solid offensive line, worse playmakers due to injuries so far, and a slightly better defense thanks to letting Cousins and Hunter walk...still led by DC Brian Flores.

• At the Week 5 mark in 2024, the Minnesota Vikings hold a record of 5-0 with a LEAGUE LEADING +63 point differential and have only participated in 3 1-score games.

• The Vikings are the best team in the NFL and their QB is playing at an MVP level. Darnold currently has the 4th best odds to win NFL MVP. Cousins has never been on any NFL MVP list in his entire career.

Hmmmm, I would have thought that "downgrading" at QB would have made the Vikings a worse team. Apparently, I was correct in saying that Darnold would be a better QB than Cousins for the Vikings and that the Vikings would be a better team with him. Weird!
